However, the fine print document I received states "Your use of this account, or failure to close the account within 30 days of receiving this document, indicates your acceptance of the terms of this agreement, including the assessment of any interest charges and fees." So I don't think I should ignore this. Not under hard inquiries, and not under open accounts. I checked my Credit Karma, and there no record of this bank and card in my account. I got a representative, but he said that they can't view the Victoria's Secret accounts and the only thing I can do is call that line that wants my social security number. I tried called the Comenity Bank customer service line too. Since they shouldn't have my SS number, since I never applied for this card, I didn't feel comfortable putting it in the phone system. I tried to call the Victoria's Secret credit card phone line, but the automated system would not let me speak to a representative without giving my social security number. The sticker on the card doesn't say "Call to activate", it says "Call before use to CONFIRM RECEIPT of your credit card" (Yes, in all caps). I've never even heard of this bank until I got this. Which Victorias Secret credit card do I have I am locked out of my Account. I've also never had an amount with Comenity, the bank that this card is through. I never even had a non-credit rewards card with them. I haven't shopped at Victoria's Secret in months, and I have never had any account with them ever. I thought that it was one of those promotions to get you to sign up or something, but I looked closer and the card has my name, an account number, and all the works. I think the collection is a bigger issue than the AAoA. If you have an Athorized User on your Victoria Secret Account: does the account report on their credit? And, if it is reporting, Does it report all of the history from the date account was opened or does it report from the date they were added on as an authorized user? I would hate to add him onto the account just for it to show up as a newly opened account and then get the opposite desired effect. They seem to only report authorized users on certain accounts. He was just an authorized user on that account and it says so on his credit report although It was long ago when I added him to that account so I don't remember if i gave them his social or not. We have an old Eddie Bauer collection still reporting which is also Comenity bank. I called Comenity Bank/VS inquiring about adding him on my account as a joint user ("piggy back") & they told me they don't offer joint accounts and wouldn't report the account on his credit if I added him as an authorized user. Credit specialist advised I add him on my Victoria Secret account because its a good long standing account. Biggest issue is a low Average Age of Account History.
